I am a nomad.
I like to write.
I write about my travels. Currently I am working on a travel memoir about a 3 year adventure through Latin America and Europe.
My interests are:
Fresh air; dancing in the streets; scrawling philosophical ramblings; jump photography; people with hidden talents; collecting quotes; chocolate; listening to sweet tracks; trees; dreams; art (in galleries, furtively scrawled on walls, needled into people’s bodies); traveling; documentaries; books; riding in the back of pick-up trucks; musicals; new perspectives; big ideas; quantum physics; learning; being amazed; latin america; laughing; playing pool; monkeys; making children laugh; singing at the top of my lungs; being alive.
I have been to:
Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Belize, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, Haiti, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, the United States, Uruguay, and Wales.
Inspitations:
Jorge Luis Borges, Milan Kundera, Oscar Wilde, John Steinbeck, Virginia Woolf.
Why I’m blogging:
I have decided to throw myself out there and begin the epic quest to fulfill my dream, to be who I always dreamed I may one day be – a writer. I have started this blog as the first step in the process, to put my words out there and see how it feels, to express myself publicly, and also, I hope, to receive encouragement and advice from fellow writers who are ahead of me on the path, and perhaps inspire a few who have the same secret dream. Aw shucks. You made me blush :-) Thanks for your kind words of encouragement.
thanks for the comment on my blog! I love reading your stories; you have a great style! I especially enjoyed reading the Haiti posts.
Thanks for your encouragement!
Yes, the Haiti posts are special to me too. That was a very difficult time but also a precious one. I really love that country and it makes me beyond sad to see people suffer so much.
I’m glad you commented on my blog, which, of course, led me to yours. Your life experiences will be enough to fill many books. The first is the hardest to write…best of luck!
hi there. thanks for dropping a comment in my blog. I love the way you write! so tranquil. I guess we are on the same path now, I’m also making my way there as a writer, recognized or not. that’s why I never stop writing. good luck for you! :)
I love your blog, so unlike mine, but it’s brilliant. Your travels in South America are so exciting and I have to admit incite tons of jealousy because I’ve wanted to see that part of the world for sometime!
Keep it up!
Alexa
I’m so glad you commented on my blog, and that I have now found yours! I am in the middle of writing my first novel…which is turning more into an exercise of discipline for the book I want to write next. I am excited to read about your travels and your process (progress) writing!
Thanks to you all. I really appreciate your visiting my blog. I really want this to be a dialogue so please feel free to comment on my posts, ask quetions back, challenge things that I am saying, or anything else you fancy.
I am learning through the process of writing. I am currently writing my travel memoirs. Firstly, it is a process for me, to understand where I have been, who I have become, and how it happened. If, after that, my story can be useful to others on their own journeys I will happily publish it. Any feedback and advice will be treasured.
Thanks again for visiting and I hope you come back again :-)
Impressive and fascintating blog! I look forward to perusing it and sharing in your adventures and musings.
Your story is inspiring and your blog is filled with interesting content… Good luck with your writing career thats such a great goal ! I’m sure that you will be successful
Your story reminded me of my own teenage years when, after reading the poem “Vagabond” in class, I left home barefoot, became a sadhu, traveled across India… Sorry for nostalgia here, but I just wrote to wish you all the best with your traveling and writing!
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. Keep writing. As I keep learning over and over again. You get good at writing by writing.

Thanks for your comment Courtney! You write beautifully. I can’t wait to read your first book. Just plunge in and go for it. It is an incredible adventure – so personal, so intimate and oh-so thrilling!
